As the frost finally recedes and we pack away the hand warmers, it is time to salute the iron men of Dun Whinny who dominated the winter standings. In a season defined by grit, layers, and the occasional sleet shower, three names rose above the rest to claim the final honors.

The Tom Brown Tankard – Bill Sexton

In a race that kept the clubhouse talking all winter, Bill Sexton has officially secured the Tom Brown Tankard. Bill’s campaign was defined by that now-legendary 48-point haul on the Kings—a score so formidable it left the rest of the field checking the rules for signs of witchcraft. Despite a late-season charge from the chasing pack, Bill held his nerve to lift the Tankard. A truly well-deserved victory for the man who made the winter look easy.

The Winter Eclectic (PGA/Kings/Queens) – David Logie

To the surprise of absolutely no one, our Club Champion David Logie has once again proven that class is permanent, regardless of the temperature. Navigating the tactical nuances of the PGA, the majesty of the Kings, and the trickery of the Queens, David posted a staggering eclectic total of 56. It was a masterclass in consistency, picking the bones out of all three courses hole-by-hole to leave the field in his wake.

Best 4 Scores – Ken Marshall

While others had flashes of brilliance, Ken Marshall was the model of sustained excellence. By securing the title for the Best 4 Scores over the winter, Ken proved he is the ultimate "marathon man" of Dun Whinny. Whether the pins were tucked or the wind was howling, Ken’s ability to post high-quality returns time and time again was the difference. He was breathing down Bill Sexton’s neck for weeks, and this title is a fitting reward for his relentless form.
