Winter Events Update 2025/26
Eclectic Update: The King is Dead, Long Live the Queen(s)
With the King’s course now officially tucked in for its winter hibernation, the first chapter of our Eclectic saga has closed. A massive congratulations to David Logie, whose staggering 56 proved that he wasn't just playing the same game as the rest of us—he was playing a much easier version of it. Hats off also to Rob Crockart and Allister Wallace, who both put in stellar shifts to keep the leaderboard looking respectable.
In the race for the Tom Brown Tankard, Bill Sexton has vaulted to the summit with a formidable 48 points. However, he shouldn't get too comfortable in the winner's enclosure just yet; Ken Marshall is currently breathing down his neck with such intensity that Bill might need to check for singe marks on his collar.
As we pivot our attention to the Queen’s and PGA courses, the stage is set for more heroics. The Queen’s has a reputation for being a fickle mistress, but I have no doubt she’ll surrender some remarkable scores soon. The burning question remains: will we finally witness the mythical, "real-world" 50-pointer, or will the laws of physics continue to apply to everyone except Dr. Jonnie?
A Final Housekeeping Note: If you suspect your scorecard has gone AWOL or if I’ve somehow overlooked your moment of glory, please don't suffer in silence. Fire it over to me at tariq@dunwhinny.com so I can ensure the records reflect your true (and hopefully legitimate) genius.
